At Giftworks, we offer an easy to use, interest free deposit system both in store and online to help facilitate a stress-free shopping experience for our customers. Please note our terms and conditions for deposits placed in store and online differ. All deposits are held for a period of 4 weeks only. Upon no payment or breach of the deposit terms and conditions, your contract will be cancelled and items will be returned to sale. 

In Store Deposits:

  • Please note that not all items in store are accepted for our deposit system. A member of staff will gladly assist you in this area.
  • We do not require a set initial deposit amount. The amount you wish to leave on an item is at your own discretion. 
  • We do advise that your payments are made on a regular basis; e.g. weekly. 
  • Deposits must be paid in full within 4 weeks. We ask that your items are collected within 10 days from the day that payment has been completed. Upon no payment within the given timeframe, items will be returned to sale.
  • In the event that items have been returned to sale due to non payment or breach of terms and conditions, an electronic credit note will be issued. No cash refunds will be given. 
  • Items that have been ordered in specially are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. 
  • We do facilitate over the phone payments in our stores. However, we ask that you make the payment to the store in which your deposit is being held. Please quote your name and docket number when making an over the phone payment. In some instances you may be asked the provide the date of which your deposit was placed. If you cannot provide your docket number, we may need to call you back at a later time when we have located your deposit in our files.
  • If before the end of the stated deposit period, the goods have for any reason become no longer available in the same condition as at the time of the sale, Giftworks will refund any deposits or payments made under this deposit transaction. 
  • For collection of your items, we require 1 days notice. You can do this by calling us by phone or popping into our stores. Deposit items are not kept on the shop floor and failure to notify us of intention to collect can result in items not being ready for collection. On rare occasions items may not be ready within the 1 days notice time period, however we will contact you and give you a timeframe of when collection will be available. We ask that you do not email to notify us of collection.  
  • We also offer a nationwide delivery service to all our customers in conjunction with our delivery partners Fastway Couriers, and any items can be shipped to you at a small charge that will be calculated once balance has been paid. 
  • Items will not be released until payment as been made in full. 

Online Deposits - Pay In Slices with Pay-Whirl:

Don't have enough to make payment in full today? That's where PayWhirl comes in and allows you to still make your purchase! What is PayWhirl anyway? PayWhirl allows you to purchase and reserve merchandise spreading the cost of your cart over 4 weeks through a payment plan of 4 equal weekly instalments. The terms and conditions are outlined below. It is important that you familiarise yourself with these terms and conditions before making a purchase with us. 

  • Please note not all our products are accepted for our deposit system. You will find all products available here. If you require any additional information on this please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email and a member of staff will gladly assist you.
  • Initial deposit amount will be calculated at checkout. Your payments will then follow for a further 3 weeks at the same amount. Please note that if you select delivery as your shipping method, the postage fee will be taken in one sum. 
  • We cannot accept in store or over the phone payments for deposits made through the PayWhirl subscription service. 
  • If you wish to cancel your subscription before your contract has been completed, please contact us by email with your order number. An electronic gift card will be issued to you. No refund will be offered. 
  • Deposit items are held for a period of 4 weeks only. Payments will be automatically taken weekly. Where the payment has failed due to insufficient funds or card error, a payment collection attempt will be made 3 more times. If 3 payments have failed, your subscription will automatically be cancelled. In this instance an electronic gift card will be issued. Again, no refund will be offered.
  • For orders where the shipping method is collect in store, no delivery charge will be added to your subscription. Items can only be collected once the customer has received an email or SMS to state that their order is ready for collection in their chosen store. Items must be collected within 7 days. Upon non-collection of items, they will be returned to sale and an electronic gift card will be issued. No refund will be offered. 
  • If before the end of the stated deposit period, the goods have for any reason become no longer available in the same condition as at the time of the sale, Giftworks will refund any deposits or payments made under this deposit transaction. 
  • Items that have been ordered in specially are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. 
  • Items will not be released until the balance has been paid in full. 

Conditions of sale: the goods remain the property of the seller until the account has been paid. The seller reserves the right to re-possess any of the goods in respects of which payment is overdue and thereafter, to re-sell the same and for this purpose the purchase hereby grants and irrevocable right and licence to seller's servants and agents to enter upon all and any of its premises with or without vehicles during normal business hours. Notification of damaged goods or incorrect deliveries must be made within three (3) days. Orders will not be shipped until all items are paid for in full.
